The Migrant Resource Centre (Southern Tasmania) Inc. (MRC) is a not-for-profit organisation which has helped migrants and refugees to settle in Tasmania since 1979. Our skilled staff help migrants and refugees from all countries and ages.

The Humanitarian Settlement Program’s (HSP) key objective is to build the skills and knowledge of refugees and humanitarian entrants for social and economic participation within Australia.   The HSP is funded by the Department of Social Services and in Tasmania is delivered by MRC in collaboration with AMES Australia. The HSP has an outcomes-based delivery framework, with a renewed focus on improving English language, education and employment outcomes for humanitarian entrants.

About the job

This role is 5 days per week and is a new position reporting to the MRC’s Manager Settlement & Community Services and oversees the coordination of personnel and quality service delivery that provides HSP clients with needs-based, individualised services.

The HSP State Coordinator role is vital in coordinating all aspects of HSP across Tasmania, including responsibilities such as contractual compliance and team management.  This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a focus on continuous improvement and achievement of best practice with strong values of social justice, dignity and respect.
